A beautiful evening engaging in conversation about Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm.

This Brooklyn Talks event was held at the Brooklyn Museum, which created the perfect backdrop for reflecting on the legacy of Congresswoman Chisholm, who represented New York's 12th congressional district in Bed–Stuy for seven terms from 1969 to 1983.

Joining the conversation were artist Bisa Butler, cultural producer and president of Shirley Chisholm Cultural Institute Barbara Bullard, and curator Stephanie Sparling Williams, Ph.D.
